Hi my name is Karen Alfaro-Carrillo and this is my final year at the Transition Program. I have been part of the program for 2 years. Last year, I was an Aide at Adventure Club but this year I applied to become an Assistant. After working as an Aide for the year and gaining experience I got the job to move up to an Assistant. I am still working at Adventure Club and I like it very much plus, I am getting paid. I am now the Manager of the school Coffee Cart at Transition. As manager I order food, type up the menu and take orders. We often prepare food and coffee for teacher and administrative meetings after school. When I graduate this spring I want to apply to be a para or sub para for elementary school kids and get my drivers license. I really enjoy being an Assistant at Adventure Club and working with kids!
