A Step Towards Independence For Charlie

Charlie Bristow Oak Marsh Golf Course Employee
Charlie Bristow works part time as a cart attendant and grounds keeper at Oak Marsh Golf course in Oakdale. Charlie has earned his drivers license so he can move carts on the course for his job.  However, Charlie does not have enough driving experience yet to actually drive to and from his worksite. Therefore, through practical experience and guidance this year in the Transition Program Charlie has learned how contact Transit Link transportation to schedule his rides to work weekly.

Charlie pays the small fee of $2.25 to ride Transit Link. Now his father does not have to take off time from his job to transport Charlie to work.  The Transit Link service is a very valuable tool for young adults in an area like Stillwater, in which transportation services are minimal.  It is a wonderful community resource that is available all Washington County residents.  To learn more about Transit Link click the following link: https://metrocouncil.org/Transportation/Services/Transit-Link/Washington-County-Transit-Link-Service.aspx

Charlie is very happy he has learned how to access this mode of transportation to his job and will continue to take Transit Link this summer as the golfing season heats up at Oak Marsh.
